Hewitt Restoration is a family owned and operated business started by Rick and Ginni Hewitt. They are custom cabinet and furniture makers, upholsterers and custom finishers.

Rick began his cabinetry career in Myrtle Beach, SC in 1971 after serving in the U.S. Air Force. They returned to their home state of Minnesota in 1972 where Rick began working as an apprentice for Crystal Cabinets. After 3 years, he became a journeyman cabinetmaker. Meanwhile, Ginni took an interior Decorating course from LaSalle University to help with the design of furniture, finishes and fabrics. They also took an upholstery course to develop their expertise with custom furniture. In 1980, they relocated to Ft. Myers, Florida and began broadening their portfolio of expert custom finishing.

Hewitt Restoration originally started as Rick's Interiors in Minnesota. The name was changed to reflect a growing interest in furniture and cabinet restoration and refinishing. Hewitt Restoration still offers the best in custom cabinet and furniture creation as well as custom finishing and remodeling. Throughout the years, they have completed work for private residences, commercial accounts, interior designers and builders.
